A record number of sessions planned for the “Successful Public Speaking” (“Réussir ses Prises de Parole”) training module. Acte Sept a hit at TOTAL!
10 years after being launched, the success of the training module devoted to public speaking for managers at TOTAL shows no sign of slowing: 18 sessions scheduled for 2016, i.e. more than 200 managers who will be trained in issues relating to spoken communication.
With a 98% satisfaction rate (assessment by Formetris), the “Successful Public Speaking” course ranks first in the list of the most popular training courses among the Group's managers. With a collaboration spanning ten years, we have trained more than 1,000 managers from all professional backgrounds on improving the impact of their spoken communication. Composed of the core elements of Acte Sept's approach, with a combination of theatrical techniques and managerial skills, this programme responds to the three challenges of successful speaking: • "Formalising" involves the choice of content and the right words. What story am I telling? • "Expressing" involves learning to use one's non-verbal communication for the benefit of the message conveyed. What strengths can I rely on to tell this story? • "Scripting" is the step that brings everything together, with consideration for the audience and the venue, to effectively adapt the story to the situation. Who am I telling this story to, and how am I going to tell it? In short, two days spent explaining–and applying–Acte Sept's approach in order to transform public speaking into a powerful communicative act.
