Special evening at the Olympia theatre to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Chanteurs de Sainte Croix de Neuilly choir: Martin Solveig guest-starred and Olivier Yéni was the proud and emotional master of ceremonies!
40 years after learning to sing in the choir, Olivier Yéni had the honour of presenting a 3-hour show alongside Choirmaster François Polgàr: the pleasure of singing on the stage of the Olympia theatre plus the pleasure of welcoming Martin Solveig, himself an ex-junior member of the choir!
It was in a full Olympia theatre (1,500 people) that one of the very first children’s choirs in France celebrated its anniversary. The 3-hour show combined pieces sung by 200 singers, performances by professional soloists who were former members of the choir, interviews with several guests (including Martin Solveig), showing of reports on the recent tours in South Korea, China and the United States; the programme was packed and it was an exciting challenge to make it a night to remember. Everything went off beautifully and it was a huge pleasure to be able to tread the boards of a stage so hallowed and so alive with powerful music.
